Members of the NV Engineers Without Borders chapter just returned from Africa where we completed a latrine and hand washing sink for a remote orphanage.
The latest phase of the Ghana Orphanage Program is complete. EWB-Las Vegas completed construction of a latrine and hand-washing sink for the Drifting Angels Orphanage in Ghana, West Africa.

The children of Drifting Angels Orphanage had only a pit in the ground with a couple beams over the top as their bathroom. That pit has now been filled in and the new EWB designed latrines are in service. The children did not previously have an opportunity to wash their hands after using the bathroom. EWB-Las Vegas provided a sink and taught the children the importance of hand washing.
The next phase of the program is now underway. The orphanage is currently overcrowded. EWB is designing a new orphanage, washrooms, latrine, and sink at a larger site to accommodate over 60 orphans in Tsito Awudome, Ghana. The total cost to complete this next phase and dramatically improve the standard of living for over 60 children is only .http://www.ewb-lv.org/donations.html$30,000. Design is already underway, the only thing holding back construction of the new orphanage is funding. Please donate today and help provide the children of Drifting Angels Orphanage with decent sanitary conditions, a higher standard of living, and dignity.
Thank you very much for your support.
EWB is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductible
